Production description
Italy’s Davide Fragione has been making a name for himself among the new superstars of sponge ball magic. He’s toured Europe and Asia teaching his unique take on sponge that features incredibly visual moves, devilishly clever routines, and an outlook on sponge magic that is infectious. In his first Penguin Live lecture, he is leaving nothing out as he shares with you all of his secrets with sponges.
What you will learn:
The Green Elephant - A multi-phase trick that is a clever variation on Always Two. It is completely ungimmicked and introduces you to a brand new technique, “The Upside Down Catapult.” Mastering this trick will allow you to transfer sponge balls from hand to hand in the most deceptive of ways.
The Porous Flight - A funny 3-fly done with sponge balls. This is perfect for table magic, and it ends with The Fragione Retention Vanish. This incredibly visual vanish of a sponge ball will have you swearing that the ball is in the performer’s hand, even though they are two steps ahead of you.
Fred Kaps Handkerchief - A brief trick with a strong kick that will amaze you. Based on an old Fred Kaps effect with coins, now it’s completely impromptu and takes advantage of the visual nature of sponge balls.
Balls Through Table - Davide’s favorite trick and an homage to Tony Slydini. Every phase of this trick is well-balanced and has a final surprise that the audience will love. It uses Davide’s innovative sponge techniques and is totally impromptu. All you need is a normal cup and four sponge balls.
You will also learn various color changes, utility techniques, specific concepts, and theories about spongeball magic, and Davide’s newest technique, The Florence Count. Imagine being able to do an Elmsley style count with sponge balls and the doorways to new magic that would open. This lecture will reinvigorate your love of sponge balls and level your magic up with surprising new moves and routines
